Feelings and Needs: Introducing the Language of Compassionate Communication (NVC)
Two Day Online CPD Course for Qualified and Student Therapists, Coaches and Counsellors
11-12 July 2022 (Two places available) |
"[Compassionate Communication] reminds us that humans are meant to relate to one another. It helps us reframe how we express ourselves and hear others. Instead of automatic reactions, our words become conscious responses based on our awareness of what we are perceiving, feeling and needing. We are led to express ourselves with honesty and clarity, whilst simultaneously paying others a respectful and empathic attention. In any exchange, we listen for our own deeper needs, and those of others."
- Marshall Rosenberg
Introducing the work of Marshall Rosenberg and the modality of Non-Violent Communication (NVC), also known as Compassionate Communication, this workshop will explore how we express ourselves and how we hear others; and how we can increase our ability to create meaningful connections, both with others and with ourselves, and how we can empower our clients to do the same within their own relationships.
Effective, empathic and non-judgemental communication remains at the heart of our work as therapists. NVC can help us deepen our own self-awareness in order to recognise and express our own feelings and needs, and to hear the underlying unmet needs of others, often expressed in unuseful ways, such as anger or violence.
The course is open to all student and qualified hypnotherapists, counsellors, NLP Master Practitioners and psychotherapists. This course is kept to a maximum number of four students in order to ensure individual attention and a good group dynamic.
The course fee is £410.00*, to include a comprehensive course manual, and represents 14 hours of verifiable CPD.
*£390.00 for Newsletter Subscribers.
