Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy

Our Diploma Programme in Clinical Hypnotherapy is Accredited by the National Hypnotherapy Society, and is primarily designed for counsellors, coaches, psychotherapists and NLP Master Practitioners, who wish to broaden and deepen their own therapeutic skills and self-awareness, enabling you to assist your clients with an even greater degree of flexibility and potency.
Hypnosis is a state of relaxed, focussed awareness, which can be utilised for creating or affirming personal change. As a therapeutic intervention, Hypnotherapy works directly with the unconscious mind, where habits, beliefs and emotions reside, in order to help clients resolve problems and achieve their desired outcomes and goals by enabling them to connect with their own unconscious resources.
The classroom component of the course comprises 22 days, held over seven modules during a twelve month programme, and completion of all seven modules and course requirements will entitle the candidate to receive a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy.
Our comprehensive programme contains practical demonstrations, experiential learning and a full background of theoretical knowledge in first, second and third generation hypnosis. We have a strong psychotherapeutic approach to the study and practice of hypnotherapy, and the development of self-awareness and reflexivity is an important aspect of the course. Small working groups will enable all students to benefit from individual attention and supervision to ensure that their personal and professional learning outcomes for the course are met. The ability to use Clinical Hypnosis in a safe, appropriate and client-focused manner is of paramount importance and this is emphasised throughout our training programmes.
Our Diploma Programme in Clinical Hypnotherapy meets the UK National Occupational Standards for Hypnotherapy and is accredited by the National Hypnotherapy Society; the largest independent professional hypnotherapy organisation in the UK. This is a professional body that provides a forum for the research of hypnosis and it has strict guidelines on accrediting programmes run by suitable training organisations. While undertaking our Diploma Programme, students can apply for Student Membership of the Society. On successful completion of the Diploma Programme, and at the discretion of the Society, graduates are eligible to apply for full Society Membership and to be listed on their register which has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Academic qualifications are not a prerequisite for acceptance on the Diploma programme. Students will be expected to demonstrate an open and enquiring mind and a commitment to learning and participation, together with a willingness to develop insight, self-awareness and reflexivity in the process of developing the client-therapist relationship.
We are now accepting bookings for our 2021/22 Diploma Course, which commences in September 2021:
The course will be held at our Training and Consultancy Office at Wykeham Business Centre, near Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Accommodation is available locally at Wydale Hall, Gallows Hill B&B or the Downe Arms Hotel for those who wish to stay.
